The bathroom, most important room in the house. You can see we're using a towel for the window covering here. Eventually, we want to get some real curtains, but until then this keeps the neighbors from prying.

|
Back towards the door in the bathroom, we've got temporary curtains hanging on the other two bathroom windows as well. We'll be putting indoor shutters up for these two windows once we find ones we like.

The poop nook. As nice as the rug feels on top of the seat, it's still best if you lift first before you sit down.

We still need a full size mirror for over the sinks. But until then, the bunny will be happy to tell you how your hair looks each morning.

Dog toy! Riley's been busy scattering his toys all over the house each night. The small brown object is a stuffed squirrel, not a real one.

Down the upstairs hallway and into the bedroom. Just a hint of the amount of stuff crammed in there.

The master bedroom. We've got a bed, some storage space, a tv and a radio. Really, what more do we need? The door and windows in the bedroom have been painted and the wall at the head of the bed has been treated with tissue paper and is ready for paint.

|
The other corner of the bedroom holds stacks and stacks of boxes. Each night involves the emptying of at least one more box. Riley often likes to help. Until we get a closet built, we're using a garmet rack to hold all our clothes. It works just fine, but over time, I'm sure our clothes will begin to get dusty hanging out in the open.

Ahh, the kitchen. Everything is installed and operational. Really, all we need is to put up the glass doors and paint the walls, and hang the last two lights. We haven't cooked a full meal yet, but we've used all the appliances so far. I like to go down late at night and turn them all on at once. No, not really.

Our only coat rack downstairs is little more than a hook on the basement door. The brown thing beneath the pumpkin is Riley's collar.

We acquired an antique leaf-table for our kitchen table. When it's fully extended, it can seat six. Generally, we leave it collapsed for intimate dining for two. It's the perfect size for the kitchen and leaves plenty of floor space for manuevering around it. And nearly as important as eating...the phones work. Cable should be installed within a week or so.

There's no place like home.
