We installed the new tub fixture this past weekend. Unlike modern tubs, the old clawfoot models require special connectors and faucets. After a lengthy hunt, we finally found a little plumbing supply shop in York, PA that had what we needed.

Another view of the new faucet. It's simply amazing how beautiful this tub came out after having it resurfaced and installing new chrome plumbing.

Three layers of color later, the hallway is painted. We used a light green base coat then Michelle mixed up a two-step wash of green and blue.

Color tests on the hallway trim leading to the living room. Dark green to go with the hall, red to go with the living room and provide a transition.

The living room closet. The trim is an orange and red crackle. In the bottom of the closet are two of Michelle's painted pieces.

Opposite the closet, the front windows are in the process of getting trimmed out. The one on the right has the base layer of orange and is awaiting a special coating of crackle before the red gets applied.

The living room floor, covered in paint supplies. Michelle is hand-mixing most of the color in the house as we go. Needless to say, she works like an artist should - messily.

Out back, more furniture projects await. We've got a pair of rocking chairs and an entertainment center anxiously awaiting refinishing. Stay tuned.
